Shutting down of the popular website caused many players to seek decent alternatives elsewhere
The closure of Full Tilt Poker has caused a big disruption in online poker world, sending many players into the cyberspace in search of highly regarded poker rooms. The company behind the website has recently lost its gaming license, issued earlier by the Alderney Gaming Commission, though this move did not come as a surprise, as it was expected by many since the April 14th US government action against major online poker websites.
Since then, the company representing one of the most famous brands in the online gambling industry has been facing charges of money laundering and illegal financial activity.
Recent reports show that Full Tilt has a certain chance of recovery, following its current talks with European investors who showed their interest in acquiring the brand. Full Tilt Poker legal advisor confirmed that the agreement might be signed within two weeks, adding that the company’s highest priority was to refund its customers. “The investor is aware of that and everyone knows that’s the critical material term”, he said. According to his statement, the company currently owes US players a huge amount of $150 million.
Though poker fans do not wish to wait and do not believe in a quick recovery of Full Tilt. Many of them have since moved to William Hill Poker – one of the world’s most oldest and respected gambling brands. With its great promotions, bonuses and serious cash prizes, there is no doubt that poker players will remain loyal to this first-class poker room.
