Upcoming Playboy issue will feature a special sticker

The “Runaway Bride” sticker will cover the buttocks of Crystal Harris, the ex-fiancée of the magazine’s founder Hugh Hefner

Hefner, 85, announced two days ago that his 25 y.o. fiancée had "a change of heart," and that the wedding ceremony planned to accommodate 300 guests at the Playboy Mansion in LA on Saturday had been cancelled. The break up coincided with Harris’ appearance on the cover of the upcoming Playboy issue, which will be available for sale tomorrow. To prevent inaccurate information from circulating in public, Hefner rushed to make an announcement on Twitter, saying: "Recent events call for a special sticker on the July cover. Look for it on newsstands".

A large red sticker reading "Runaway Bride In This Issue!" hides most of the model’s bottom half. Hefner's favourite cocker spaniel is present on the photo with Harris, who took the dog with her after moving out. Other things belonging to Hefner on the picture are his trademark sailor's cap and smoking jacket. Playboy spokeswoman noted that the red sticker would appear only on copies sold from newsstands as most of the subscribers have already received it.

The reason for the break up was unclear, although Hefner insists there were no altercations. It was reported that Harris was interested in a more significant weekly allowance and in making a career in the music business. She has released a song via iTunes two days ago, called “Club Queen”.

This matrimony would have been Hefner's third. His second wife, former Playmate Kimberley Conrad, together with her mother was among those who came to console the bridegroom. Hefner is widely known for promoting sexual freedom and civil rights, publishing stories opposing McCarthyism and the Vietnam War, and supported gay causes and the legalization of light drugs.
